Coons & Crump, LLC is a growing consumer bankruptcy law firm serving clients throughout Kansas and the Western District of Missouri. We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. Prior bankruptcy experience is preferred but not required. We are committed to mentoring attorneys who demonstrate a strong work ethic, sound judgment, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help clients through difficult financial situations.
Our practice is fast-paced, high-volume, and intellectually challenging. We represent hundreds of clients each month and are looking for an attorney who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, making decisions, working efficiently, and managing a busy caseload while maintaining exceptional client service.
We utilize a collaborative, team-based approach that allows our attorneys to focus on practicing law while working alongside experienced legal assistants, paralegals, and support staff. Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with prospective and existing clients.
- Advising clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
- Preparing for and appearing at hearings, meetings, and court proceedings.
- Working closely with paralegals and support staff to efficiently manage cases.
- Responding promptly to clients, trustees, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Providing compassionate, practical, and high-quality legal representation.
